This page says what we collect from you, why, and what we do with it.

Short version: we collect what we need to seat you, feed you and get back to you, and nothing else.

What we collect and why

Table bookings. Your name, phone, email, party size and any notes you leave. Taken through Now Book It so we can hold your table and reach you if something changes.

Online orders. Your name, phone, email, delivery or pick-up details and what you ordered. Taken through GloriaFood so the kitchen can make it and get it to you. Payment is handled by the payment provider inside the ordering system; we do not see or store your card number.

Function enquiries. Your name, company if it is a work event, email, phone, preferred date, guest numbers, occasion and anything else you tell us. Kept in our booking system so Muriel can quote and plan your event. Once your event is confirmed we keep the details for our records and to make the next one easier.

Gift vouchers. Your name, email and who the voucher is for, so we can send it and honour it.

Emails from us. If you have given us your email at a booking, an event or a class, we may send you an occasional email about what is on. Every email has an unsubscribe link and it works.

The website. Like most websites, we use Google Analytics and Squarespace's own analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. This is aggregate: pages, devices, rough location. We do not use it to identify you.

Cooking classes and events. Your name, contact details and dietary needs, so we can run the class and keep you safe in the kitchen.

Who else sees it

Only the services above (Now Book It, GloriaFood, Squarespace, Notion, our email provider, Google Analytics), each for its job. We do not sell or swap your details with anyone, ever.

How long we keep it

Bookings and orders for as long as the booking systems keep them. Function and class records for as long as they are useful to you and us, which for regulars is years. Email lists until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it: eat@blueeyedragon.com.au. We will do it within a few days.

Cookies

The site sets the standard Squarespace and Google Analytics cookies. Your browser settings let you block them; the site still works.
